Following is the text of an email to my congressman concerning the attacks on Jack Murtha.

Dear Congressman Lantos
If the Republicans are allowed to get away with a Swift Boat type of attack on Jack Murtha, the Congress will be in a state of deep disgrace. I sincerely hope that you and all your fellow congress members will take swift and severe action against these people. No more of the shame and the evil perpetrated on Kerry, McCain and Cleland. Nothing less than the fate of civility and democracy rests on your shoulders.
