"Bridge: Months of delay possible"

Project delay is not important when viewed in the light of safety and a job done properly. When constructing a bridge, even the slightest degree of incompetance is inexcuseable. The job is not done until the level of safety is as high as humanly possible. Remember the Loma Prieta earthquake.

OBAMA AND CHRISTIE

The President is a Democrat. The Governor is a Republican. Just imagine! They are friends and get along in spite of political and racial differences. Listen up, all you snarling meanies out there. Fighting and feuding is not your job. You were voted into office to work for the people and do what is best for the people. You were NOT voted in to be bull headed dummiies. Greed and stupidity will never do good. Kindness and intelligence can accomplish much good for all people.

Jesus said: " everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and everyone who humbles himself will be exalted."

INFRASTRUCTURE MAINTENANCE

The managment class hates to spend money on infrastructure repair and maintenance. How do I know this? I spent 20 years of my life working on essential mechanical-electrical equipment for a government agency. The most difficult part of the job was not  maintenance, repair and trouble-shooting the equipment. The greatest difficulty was convincing managment to provide funds for the maintenance and repair of the equipment. These folks would much prefer to build themselves bigger and fancier offices than to "waste" taxpayers money on important equipment.

TORNADO

The Oklahoma tornado is a message to all people. We must stop sending our military might to other countries, and concentrate our power to making our country safer from the terrible forces of nature that can attack and cause great damage and loss of life. Why can't we have the power of our military ready to move into disaster areas and provide assistance to the battered people who are suffering the blast of nature? The time has come. The time is here. The time is now.

I have been in a state of serious concern about the naming of The San Francisco airport. Suddenly I have been given the answer to the prayers of all who are genuinely concerned about the new name for SFO. A great name from the San Francisco past came to me in a moment of brilliant introspection.

Caltrans

Regarding the Bay Bridge fiasco. Will "Caltrans" become synonymous with "incompetant"? More and more it seems to be so. Is it time for them to "bolt" from the scene and cross over the "bridge" to nowhere? I hope that it's sooner, not later.
