"What did he know-------------------------------------

--------------------------and when did he know it?"

Scott McClellan has returned us to the Watergate days and Dick Nixon. Nothing seems to change, except the level of courage and sense of duty to the Country. Back then, leading Republicans went to Nixon and told him his presidency was over, and they couldn't cover for him.
He resigned.
Where are leaders with courage now?
Gone with the wind.

Turkey Pardon

I saw on the news today that Bush pardoned "The Turkey". Where in the Constitution does it say that Bush can grant himself a pardon? I imagine that the current Supreme Court will be able to find a Constitutional precedent that allows this revolting development.

Illegal immigrant debate

My ancestors on my mothers side of the family came here in 1635, settled in what is now New Milford, Connecticut on land they stole from the Natives.
There is a great deal of hypocricy in this country about immigration.

Not a difficult question for a rational person to answer.

WASHINGTON -- The Judiciary Committee advanced Attorney General designate Michael Mukasey's nomination to the Senate floor Tuesday, virtually ensuring confirmation for a former judge ensnarled in bitter controversy over terrorism-era prisoner interrogations.

Is torture to be the official policy of the United States? I was a child during World War 2 and still remember the stories of atrocities practiced by Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

Have we now become the barbarians that we fought against? Have we descended into the hell of evil treatment of those that are considered enemies?

Our so-called leadership claims to be "Christian". Would Jesus condone "waterboarding" and other horrors? I don't think so.
