Hooray for President Obama and his gun control speech this morning.
I am a lifetime gun owner. However, I do not worship at the alter of the NRA.
Guns should be registered and controlled by competent authority, just as moter vehicles are. I'm not allowed to drive without a license. Why should I be allowed to fire a weapon without proof of competency?
It is the responsiblity of government to protect citizens both from themselves, and from the "evil that men do"
Thanks for the opportunity to speak my mind on this issue.
