Are we going broke?

It occured to me that if our major import is automobiles, and our major export is war, then we will surely go broke. Already public and private debt is at an all time high, and private saving is in the hole. Worst since 1933, the depth of the Great Depression. Think about it. This is telling us something, and it AIN'T GOOD!
