U.S.Constitution on the Presidency

From the Constitution of the United States.

Article II, Section 1

Clause 8:

Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

George W. Bush swore to uphold the Constitution. When he authorized illegal wiretapping of American citizens, he broke his oath and violated the Constitution. This is an impeachable offence.

Now it's time for our elected representatives to do their job.
