Chevron

San Francisco CHRONICLE, December 22.

CHEVRON TO PAY $145.000 fine for 28 regulatory violations.

GIVE ME A BREAK! This makes about as much sense as a $1.45 fine for driving 100 mph in a school zone. Is this what our 'regulators" consider to be an adequate fine for egrigious violations of laws that are supposed to protect the health and well being of both workers and the general public? A fine for law violation should hurt! This is just a chuckle for the Chevron board members as they sign the check to pay the fine.
Next time regulators, MAKE IT HURT!
