TWO QUOTES FOR TEDDY

Politics is the art of the possible.

A really great man is known by three signs...generosity in the design, humanity in the execution, moderation in success.

RIGHT AND WRONG

Teddy Kennedy surely knew the right side of the most important issues of our time.
He voted against the Iraq War. He fought for universal healthcare.
If it wasn't for the stupid war and the mammoth deficit it has created, there would be plenty of money for healthcare.
Of course, the Republicans would fight healthcare tooth and nail even if money wasn't an issue, because it's "socialism". I hope these hypocrites will forgo Social Security and Medicare when they get old. It is evil socialism.

I'm old, and I'm a socialist. Proud of it!

THE LION IS DEAD

LONG LIVE THE LION

Teddy is gone, and his ambition for universal healthcare is unrealized. Is there anyone in Congress with the vision and guts to carry on the fight? Or are they all so deep into the pockets of the insurance companies that they will weaken the bill until it is nothing but a travesty of universal care. Is there anyone in the Senate with the cojones to carry the flag forward and bring United States healthcare up to world standard? Why do I have doubts?

Teddy's brother Jack wrote a book, PROFILES IN COURAGE. Teddy could be a chapter in the book. Is there anyone else in the Senate to carry the fight forward and earn themselves a chapter?

We will soon learn if we live in a Democracy or a Cashocracy. Do we have to replace the stars in the flag with this symbol? $

THE ABSENCE OF TEDDY

It is an utterly incomprehensible evil that the Senator for whom healthcare for Americans has been a passion for many years cannot work for the passage of a good bill because of bad health.
How, tell me, how can Senator Kennedy rest in peace if we don't do the right thing and join the civilized world of healthcare for all.
If Teddy doesn't live to see proper healthcare for all Americans, it will be a tragedy of Shakespearean proportions.

Congress, if you allow Teddy to die without his healthcare ambition coming to fruition, the fires of Hell will be yours.

A FOOL'S ERRAND

The fools rush to the town hall meetings, fists in the air, shouting, stomping, ranting about the cost of Obama healthcare, the evils of socialism, disrupting civil discourse. The errand of fools.

These fools are worried about cost? Worried about their freedom? Worried that the evil one (Obama) will take their money and ruin their medical situation. One fool even shouted, " keep da gummint outa my medicare". Need I say more about fools? It da gummint dat run medicare, silly fool.

What I really want to know is where are these fools when their government gets us into another stupid war, people die, the deficit shoots upward, and the cost is passed on to generations to come?

What it proves it this: If their brains were dynamite, they wouldn't have enough power to blow their noses.

It is very difficult to suffer these fools and maintain one's equinamity.

THE HAMMER

Very interesting that former congressman Tom "The Hammer" Delay will be competing in DANCING WITH THE STARS.
His competitors better watch their backs. They didn't call Tom "The Hammer" because he was a carpenter.

IS CARE FOR THE SICK A MORAL DUTY?

To all those "Good Christians" out there that are ranting against care for the sick and the lame, I commend to you the words of your Leader

Jesus said:
"A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead with no clothes. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, and he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, he too passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and looked after him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.' "Which of these three do you think was a neighbour to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?" The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him." Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

Healthcare "Brownshirts" and the Constitution

.Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

"-------------- PEACEABLY to assemble, and to petition the Government----------------"

A note to the Nazi types behaving badly at town meetings. The Constitution does NOT protect this vile and disruptive behaviour.

The Anti Healthcare Leader

The disruptive and vile behavior of the gangs that are invading town hall meetings concerning healthcare remind me of the rise to power of the Nazi Party in the 1930's. This is a very disturbing trend in United States politics.
The motto for these people should be: MAKE WAR, NOT HEALTH
