I'm glad to hear someone with the stature of Mayor Bloomberg saying what I have been saying for a couple of years now. Look at the evidence. We are massively in debt. Our infrastructure is crumbling. We are constantly at war. Our government more and more resembles fascism. Our political system is more and more radicalized, especially with noxious religious overtones. Need I say more? How much time do you have?

Our credibility in the world community is diminished
Our power in the world is diminished.
Our military strength is damaged.
Our economy is struggling and is headed toward recession.
Our debt to foreign countries is at an unheard of level.
Our industry is dying in the face of foreign competition.
Our citizens are confused as to where we are and where we are going.
Our self respect is diminished
On and on we go. Down and down we go
