Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is drumming up support for her own possible presidential run in 2008.
She met with Governor-elect Eliot Spitzer yesterday in New York City, and she has been contacting other top Democrats, like Senator Charles Schumer, to see who would support her if she decided to run.
Clinton has not made an official decision, but many national polls show her as the front-runner for the 2008 Democratic nomination.

I'll be surprised if Eliot Spitzer gives Hillary much support. There is a New York State tradition of crusading attorneys-general becoming governor and then running for president. Eliot wouldn't want Hillary in the way.
