"War on Terror". out! "War on Islam". in!

I find the change from "war on terror" to war on "Islamic Fascists" to be an ominous turn of events, mainly because of the Bushites and their evangelical fervor. I have major worries about religious fanatics with great power, and we have 2. One President and one Sec. of State. Part of their belief system is Armageddon, the final battle between the forces of good and evil.
I have long contended that they really didn't want to kill Osama bin Laden.  A prominent face is needed to illustrate the evil enemy. An opponent in the game, as it were.

War on "Islamic Fascists" is possibly the continuation of the "Crusades", a term Bush has used in the past. Islam vs. Judeo-Christianity, between good and evil, you pick the side that gets each term. Seems to me that evil fits both.

I can only imagine what Jesus (remember him? Prince of Peace?) would think of what is being done in his name.

In wars that I remember, we fought countries, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Imperial Japan, North Korea, Vietnam, etc. Now we're fighting a religion. The worst scenario imaginable.

In the long run, there will be no winners. Two great religions, each wanting to vanquish the other.

And, we probably won't get any oil out of the deal. Instead of praying at church, you might better pray at the pump.

the glory of war
raptures of armageddon
apocalypse now
