Artificially lower the price of gasoline for a few months. Encourage people to drive more and use more gasoline. This will require the use of more crude oil to make the gasoline, therefore driving up the price of crude, therefore driving up the price of gasoline, putting the cost per gallon back to where it was before the tax holiday, and when the tax is restored, we are worse off than ever.
Come on folks, GET SMART!
