led to Naziism, which led to World WAR 2, which led to millions of deaths and massive destruction.  The Nazi Party was the ultimate far rightwing of politics. We must beware of this happening in the USA. There are organzations that must be carefully watched and not allowed to pursue their evil ways claiming that the Constitution gives them privledge. Beware of those who spout patriotic swill on every street corner. If you follow them, you are the loser.

Hooray for President Obama and his gun control speech this morning.

I am a lifetime gun owner. However, I do not worship at the alter of the NRA.

Guns should be registered and controlled by competent authority, just as moter vehicles are. I'm not allowed to drive without a license. Why should I be allowed to fire a weapon without proof of competency?

It is the responsiblity of government to protect citizens both from themselves, and from the "evil that men do"

Thanks for the opportunity to speak my mind on this issue.

If you have a problem, you must face the problem. You cannot turn your back on a problem and expect it to go away.

Our government must think that ignoring North Korea will make it go away. For more than a half century this hasn't worked. Why would anyone think that it may work in the future?

Peace and prosperity require knowledge, understanding and cooperation among nations. Ignoring the problem leads to ignorance, mis-understanding and strife.

Talk to your perceived enemy. You may find a friend.

A talking head doesn't know what the Second Amendnment means. Well doofus, it means what the founding fathers meant it to mean. "A well regulated militia------------------" etc.

Well citizen,, what is it about the English language  that you don't understand? Do we really want every birdbrain to be able to own a high powered killing machine? I hope not.
