This citizen believes that if you believe in proper healthcare, you should gat it. If you don''t believe, you should eschew it  And if you die, as Ebenezer Scrooge said, it will "reduce the surplus population".

CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS?

The Attorney General of the United States has been held in contempt of Congress. I must ask, why would one not hold Congress in contempt? They are behaving in a contemptable manner. They are bringing shame upon themselves. Shame should be heaped upon those that voted against the Attorney General, and also upon the Democrats who didn't mount a filibuster.
"THE EVIL THAT MEN DO LIVES AFTER THEM" So let it be with Congress.

HEALTHCARE

Are we moving in the direction of proper healthcare for all of  our citizens? The time has come to join the many civilized nations that have already done this. Are we emerging from dark ignorance? Will the sun of compassion finally shine upon us? The answer may be at hand.

CIVIC BANKRUPTCY

The city of Stockton CA is going to declare bankruptcy. This should never happen. The big salary poobahs that allowed this to happen should be whipped on the public square.
The average citizen has been tapped and tapped again for money to keep cities solvent, but the fools that control the public coffers are greedy and incompetant.
The shame of this is not just on the poor people of Stockton. The shame falls on us all, and we will all face the same evil that has befallen Stockton if we don't soon change our ways.

IMMIGRATION

There's a lot of hoopla on the news and talk shows concerning immigration.
Some of my ancestors came uninvited to this country in the 17th century and took it away from the legal inhabitants.

EDUCATION

 President Obama has been talking about the high cost of education. As he was speaking, a thought occured to me. Why is there always plenty of money to make war, but never enough to provide a good education for our young citizens? Are our priorities all askew? So it would seem. What a shame on the citizens and the body politic of our supposed to be great country.

Joe (evil) McCarthy

The evil spirit of Senator Joe McCarthy has possessed the Republicans in Congress and  demagoguery is the order of the day. May the fires of Hell burn the soles of their feet and then the evil of their Souls.

When Obama was elected President, I knew for a certainty that the Republicans would stop at nothing to bring harm to him and to the office of President of the United States. This is worse than unpatriotic. It is close to treason. They harm our country with malice aforthought.

There are times when Congress makes it all to easy for citizens to hold them in contempt. Maybe the reason for that is that we the people sometimes get the feeling that Congress holds us in contempt.

I see that Ann Romney has a horse for equestrian competition.
She also has a horse's ass for political competition.
Will she be able to clean up the mess that both horses leave behind?
I don't think there is a shovel big enough for the job.

CLEAN COAL?

Lots of yada-yada on tv about "clean coal". Is this the ultimate oxymoron? I can't help but believe that this is coal mine owners propaganda aimed at their enrichment. As one who suffers from asthma and COPD, I have some fear of what coal will do to the air I breath. And, the damage to the air that all people breath.
And, the ultimate health damage done to we the people.
Think about it.

WAR

War is hell and those who make war will go to Hell.

MITT AND THE DRAFT

Mitt Romney avoided serving in the military during the Vietnam era. Was it a draft deferment for "religious" reasons? Was it "Don;t draft you. don't draft me. Just draft that sucker behind the tree".?
Now, Mitt-the-twit is moaning that he was unable to serve. He was "busy" with religious activities. Why is it that religion and hypocricy are so hand in hand?  GOK  (God only knows}

THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND

The Queen is celebrating 60 years on the throne. As part of the celebration, I believe they should have mentioned some of the people who made it possible for her to reign over England. If not for President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the American people, Adolph Hitler would have defeated England in 1942 and the Germans would have taken over. The American armed forces prevented the Nazis from crossing the English Channel. Our Air Force, Navy and Army drove them back, shot them down and sunk their ships. We saved England for the English and the Queen. Let credit be given where credit is deserved.

RIGHT WING? or BLIGHT WING?

The right wing of the Repubbys is a blight on the body politic, therefore I decree it to be called the "BLIGHT WING".

VOTING

An election with 60 percent voter turnout is considered good. I say that democracy is a gift from our forefathers, and those that don't vote are traitors to the gift of freedom and the duty to vote. I believe that a penalty should be exacted upon those that are eligible to vote but ignore their duty. Freedom is not cheap and should hot be treated cheaply.
