Doofus and Goofus

The McCain people are trashing Sara Palin. Are they so foolish as to believe that McCain's choice of Sara for vp didn't make him the same kind of fool that they say Sara is? Sara did no more to bring down the ticket than McCain did. We can consider ourselves lucky that he choose her, and lost the election. Times are hard enough as it is without those 2 goofs in the White House.

Madoff's wife cedes asset claim
.
Story .By Kim Hjelmgaard
LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The wife of swindler Bernard Madoff has agreed to relinquish her claim to more than $80 million worth of assets and will retain just $2.5 million in cash following an agreement reached with federal prosecutors late Friday, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal. Bernard Madoff is scheduled to be sentenced by District Court Judge Denny Chin in New York on Monday.

Poor lady. Has to make do with only $2.5 million. Some folks that she and her hubby cheated have to get by on much less than that.
I know, I know. She wasn't indicted, but you can't tell me she wasn't involved. She had to know all that money didn't come off a printing press.

More from Gov. Pathetic

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is telling his state agency chiefs that he's sorry for keeping them in the dark when he went to see Argentina to see his mistress.
The Republican on Friday held his typical public meeting with the agency chiefs, but started with apologies and likening his confession and future to the biblical plight of King David.
Sanford says King David fell mightily but picked up the pieces and built from there.

Really!! King David?

HOW THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN

Can you believe it? This so-called "conservative" governor of South Carolina ran off to Argentina to consort with his mistress.
Now he is back. Crying and begging forgivness. What a bloody hypocrite! The first thing he should have said is "I resign". Then start the whine.
He deserted his post and left his state in a constitutional limbo. This is dereliction of duty, and should be an impeachable offence.
Governor, at least have the class to resign.

IRAN THEOCRACY

The situation in Iran should be a warning to all who cherish liberty and live under a government that is constitutionally separated from religion.

Iran is a theocracy. A theocracy is basically evil. Religion is used by the "holier than thou" to keep the people in a state of subjugation and forced loyalty by the threat of punishment, death and a sure journey to Hell.

Our Forefathers who founded this country, wrote the Constitution and gave us Freedom of Religion. I'm sure they also recognized that freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion.

If we forget this, we are at peril.

PROTESTS IN IRAN

As we rightly condemn the Iranian government and their handling of protests, it would do us well to remember Kent State. If you are too young to remember, look it up.

A QUESTION

Is Iran the Florida of the Middle East?

EMAIL OF THE YEAR

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term.

The answer by one student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.
One student, however, wrote the follow ing:
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+.

ENEMIES OR FRIENDS?

I have long said that the best way to defeat your enemy is to make him your friend. Listening to Obama, I get the feeling that he may share my view.
Of course, this is a twisty and tricky road to travel. You must be sure your map shows the correct way and does not lead you astray. The navigator must be able to both read the map and follow the stars.
Peace may be the destination.

Obama admits US involvement in 1953 Iran coup
21 hours ago

CAIRO (AFP) — US President Barack Obama made a major gesture of conciliation to Iran on Thursday when he admitted US involvement in the 1953 coup which overthrew the government of Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh.

"In the middle of the Cold War, the United States played a role in the overthrow of a democratically elected Iranian government," Obama said in a keynote speech to the Muslim world in Cairo.

It was the first time a serving US president had publicly admitted American involvement in the coup.

The US Central Intelligence Agency, with British backing, masterminded the coup after Mossadegh nationalised the oil industry, run until then by the British-owned Anglo-Iranian Oil Company.

I have dim memories of this occurence. One of many troubles caused by European colonialism and economic meddling. This time it was oil, as it has been so many other times. "The evil that men do" often comes back to haunt them.

CLEVER

I just heard a Republician refer to Rahm Emmanuel as a cross between Machiavelli and Rasputin. He did say it with an admiring tone. A sort of warning for his fellow Republicans not to mess with Rahm.
